The Applied Improvisation Network

Spreading the Transforming Power of Improvisation

Todd Montgomery

Keith Sawyer's "Group Genius: the Creative Power of Collaboration"

*Apologies if this subject matter is a repeat posting.*

Though his book was published last year (newly out in paperback now since March) I've only got my hands on it recently...but what a read! Sawyer's saying all the things we've been saying for quite a while now, and he's done so with eloquence and practical examples. I've posted a (partial) review here: http://tmconsultancy.blogspot.com/2008/04/book-review-group-genius-...

My thinking is: what a coup it would be to get him to address the AIN conference! Doubtless his agency charges a whack of cash for keynotes, but perhaps in the spirit of lending his weight to the improv movement, at a conference being held on his old stomping grounds of Chicago, he'd be willing to do a deal...?

My motto: you don't know if you don't ask. Not sure how to make this a reality but I'm open for comments!

Hi Keith,
Well I am simultaneously delighted and redfaced - hadn't realized that you are a member of this network, but I am tickled to know you are and impressed by your enthusiasm to want to contribute to the conference in this way.
At this point I'm not entirely certain who the conference organizers are and how to accept and build on your offer, so I put it back out to the community at large...
Best,
TM

Hi, this is Keith Sawyer, and thank you for your enthusiastic response to my book! Of course I would love to be a keynote speaker at that event.
