I imagined how a mistress dances one into the moonlight, sails and floorboards groaning, since the sea is also a woman, reaching up into the all nothing of the stars and dreams to where it all begins again, morning like a lizard: slow, cold, and smooth.

drew — so we believe a joke gets funnier each of the 3 times we hear it, and ... our brain has 3 levels: human, mammal, reptilian.

perhaps each of the 3 times we hear a joke, a different part of our brain recognizes the pattern, or gets it?

an interesting theory, no?

denzil--this is an awesome presentation. i like the emphasis on creating a positive relationship.

one of the slides mentions the "3 brain theory" of humor. can you explain that more? is that different than just the rule of 3 in comedy?

denzil...brilliant...I will use these slides, and post the results and the changes and modfications that I hack out.

I was amazed at how quickly I opened to myself in this workshop. Fantastic stuff. Even wrote a short piece on domestic violence from the POV of a beavertail. Who'd've thunk it.

I will hit you in the face with a pie some time when you are expecting to be squirted with seltzer. Thank you for the offers!
