Terrific! Thank you, Lieselotte. Please let me know how it goes!
Hi Chris,

thanks a lot for your notes, I missed your workshop

it was FOMO, Paul and I divide up the workshops, and he won yours. And quoting Alan,
there is no FOMO without MO, and it seems your workshop was a big one :-)

I use a lot eye contact and physical contact
I usually introduce them asking people to notice how they react, or act -
and debrief asking what they noticed - and how they think this is related to
their interaction with other people.

I am curious about how you Chris and other people use this type of exercises

I am thinking about the contribution that physical contact has in our work, what else do we get from adding physical contact?

we did the convergence exercise friday, it was great one I will be using soon, thanks!

ciao

Thank you, Rita! I like your and Paul's strategy. Seems like a great one! And I'm glad that Paul got to attend this one and you got to explore another offering.

I really like your ideas around eye contact and physical contact. Mostly I incorporated this piece for the audience at hand (e,g. - participants on hand at the time).

I was fascinated to see that the majority of people felt more connected during the physical round than the verbally sharing personal background/interests round. It leads me to want to find new ways to explore this type of work, since I usually refrain from it in most client settings.

Adding this element certainly seems to exhibit generally a greater intimacy, trust, and connection; however, one caveat is that this group already seemed primed for it and may be a less foreign way of interacting for a greater number of people in this group.

What a great thread to open up to others in our network...
Sounds like an awesome workshop, I'm sad I missed it. I'll definitely have to try the Convergence exercise.

And thanks Mike for the summarized notes!
Thanks, Drew. I'm glad that you found it virtually through this AIN page! What a cool network, huh?
Chris

Here's a link to a blog post I wrote that includes a short description of your workshop.

Thanks, it was time very well spent.

Mike,

Thank you so much for your write-up, your feedback, and your participation in the workshop!

I love your photo. Would I have your permission to use it? It's difficult for us to get photos of our work, much less of ourselves in action.

I look forward to reading more of your blog postings.

Chris

I really enjoyed your blog entry, and in fact went back in time and read the rest of them, too! Looking forward to spending some time with you at another future AIN event, as we definitely missed contacting each other this time around....

I didn't get the chance to tell you in person how much I enjoyed the session--- especially the Convergence exercise!
Here are my notes on the exercise for those who weren't there... feel free to correct, in case I mis-remembered something:
Convergence:
Each person thinks of a random word
Count 1-2-3 (alternating) on silent four say your words
Think of a word that might connect these two words, then do again Count 1-2-3 (alternating) on silent four say your words
Repeat, and if you get caught in a loop says “New Word!” and start all over
