The Applied Improvisation Network

Spreading the Transforming Power of Improvisation

I'd suggest initial accreditation could be simple; not accreditation based on any attempt to assess the AIN person. Simple, a rating of their level of activity, with the implied idea that more active people in AIN are more involved in the practice of Applied Improvisation:

Accredited to the level of ASSOCIATE would be someone who is a member of the NING site, who regularly posts, submits at least X numbers of personal case studies and pariticpates actively on the forum

Accredited to the level of PRACTIONER would be someone who is active on the forum, and regulalry participates in the conference and regional events.

Just an opening idea that we gauge first the level of participation

Hi Paul,
What I like about your idea, is that it is simple.
As I think that rating the level of activity on the AIN website would be unfair for non-native English people (I know French and German people practicing Applied Improvisation, who are not comfortable writing in English.), I would like more emphasis on participation in Applied Improvisation activities such as AIN conferences, local meetings.

So we need to find a balance between the participation on the AIN web site, highly encouraged, and other indicateurs of Applied Improvisation practice.

While talking about a kind of accredition with some colleagues, we came up with a check-list that shows the experience in Improvisation, in Business and in Applied Improvisation:
- Improvisation experience : Which training/workshops did you attended?, Do/did you play in a group? Do/did you train/coach a group?....
- Professional experience : How long have you been employed in a company? What was your involvement in management, Organisation, Training,...?
- Applied Improvisation : AIN Conferences attended, local meetings attended
- Applied Improvisation experience : Case studies, how many days of workshops in organisations?

The idea is to keep it simple.
Cheers,
Frédérique
