Looks like you got a lot more help from the women than from this man!!! Glad to see it.

If I recall correctly, dancing often happens after the banquet and improv jam... and think "playfully festive dressy" rather than "standard dressy" -- I think a woman can distinguish the fine line, and because there're a lot of different activities that night, Jody's layered suggestion is a great one for this eve also.

And you can't really go wrong here because there is always a wide range... mainly be comfortable.

a great question, as i wondered it too my first year. there are all degrees of dressing up and down, and mostly we are casual. some folks got dolled up for the big dance night. however, after hours of dancing, we were sweaty and smelly and took off as many clothes as we could while staying dressed! comfy shoes was a good hint and also bring layers, so you can warm up or cool down. can't wait to meet you!

OK - thanks. Which night is the more festive /dance night? Or banquet night?

The Jam is scheduled for after the Banquet on Friday. However you never know what might happen on Thursday night as well.

One thing I would add is that as we will be moving between buildings a bit and the Pacific Northwest is known for having a touch or two of the Pacific in the air I'd bring something light and waterproof.. or an umbrella.
See you next week.

The Jam is going to be Thursday evening so wear what's comfortable for you.

Friday night is the Banquet, and Interview with Armondo Diaz and then The Famous AIN Dance til you Drop (or get enough) Fantastic Dance Party. This is the dressy night.

Saturday night is a night out to Portland for Improv for most people, so it's out on the town clothes.

And here's a female perspective. Comfortable shoes! There is a lot of spontaneous standing around in wonderful conversations...

Also, it's fun to wear something festive for the banquet.

And a male perspective too, while we are at it... comfortable shoes. Cause, like, life is too short to suffer while standing and being engaged in wonderful conversation with women who ARE wearing comfortable shoes and can stand and talk for a long time.... ;-)
