Does anyone know, exactly, the route for getting to the Manor from Union Station.? I'm arriving via Amtrak at 3pm on Thurs. Also trying to keep costs down, so will take public transit. :) Looking forward to it all...

And, rain is good for the soul, the trees and life in general. Rain is beautiful in itself. Multi-textured hues of gray sky and soaking in an outdoor warm spring as the rain falls are among life's great pleasures. Inside will be lovely, but the outside will be as well. We're all mostly water anyway :-)

I agree Leif, even if it rains constantly from start to finish ... this venue will still be a great space with great food and a totally unique atmosphere

Though its beautiful in Port Townsend today, I'm seeing a pretty rainy forecast for the week in Portland. Make sure you bring the right clothes. But don't worry, we'll be cozy and busy inside most of the time :)

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest and Cascadia. If you have extra time on your hands, a trip to Powell's Book Store Downtown is a must. Voodoo Donuts is a worthwhile indulgence and there is an unending variety of good beer. Look forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

I can let everyone know that the taxi fare from the airport to Edgefield is about $44 ... so share a ride if you can.
Apparently the shuttle bus is around the $35 mark.

Public Transport from downtown Portland involves the light rail and then a bus and takes about 50 minutes.
