Comment by Mike Bonifer on March 17, 2012 at 6:30am How does a meetup Monday, April 30, or May 7 from 6 to 8:30 PM at a location downtown sound to everyone?
Comment by Mike Bonifer on March 13, 2012 at 9:44am Good 1-hr call with all the U.S. regional folks yesterday, hosted by Sue Walden. We in So Cal have a very similar situation to Chicago, where the region is dominated by Second City, which does not like to play along with AIN---clearly they can use some collaboration coaching. Here, we are dominated by entertainment improv. It is hard for any client in this region to think of AIN without first thinking of Drew Carey or Will Ferrell or the Groundlings, et al. That said, I think the OC, Las Vegas (site of many conventions and conferences), San Diego (mobile tech hub), and the growing 'Tech Coast' movement in L.A. centered around agile development, can support a lot of AIN work.
With all this in mind, how does everyone feel about a meetup the first week of May in downtown L.A.?

Comment by Al Caramatti on August 23, 2011 at 3:19pm Hello John, and welcome to Sunny (smoggy, sprawling, fun, etc) southern California! As you can probably tell from our messages below, we haven't managed to get our motley asses together in one room yet. However, that doesn't mean it won't happen. In fact, I'm glad you posted your message here. I have an idea for a meeting place I'll check out.
Comment by John Fort on August 23, 2011 at 9:10am Hello fellow Applied Improvisers in SoCal. I hope all is well. I have just moved out to the Inland Empire from Florida. In Florida I did both performance and applied improvisation and I'm looking forward into doing some of that out here as well.
