Hello Everyone! If you'd like to have dinner on Thursday night, the friend I'm staying with in Amsterdam recommends the following restaurant:

Spanjer en van Twist
Leliegracht 60
1015 DJ Amsterdam

Let's meet there at 4:45 PM. It's an 8 minute walk from the conference site, so I'm assuming we can get back in time for the start of the conference at 7, but please correct me if I'm wrong. It seems to run about $22 for main courses, which is a bit more than I'd like to spend, but it seems we're getting 'finger food' at the conference, so perhaps we can split some appetizers together. My friend recommends this place for the food but also because it can seat a large group.

If you responded to my thread then I assume you'll join, but no worries if your plans change last minute. And if you didn't respond and would like to join, just show up! Looking forward to this pre-conference-gathering-that's-not-the-pre-conference! :-) bobbi

Review of restaurant below:

Spanjer & Van Twist Review

This place would almost be worth a visit for its unusual name alone, so it's doubly gratifying that the food is good, too. The interior is typical neighborhood-eetcafé style, with the day's specials chalked on a blackboard, a long table with newspapers at the front, and the kitchen visible in back. High cooking standards, however, put this place above others of its kind. The eclectic menu changes seasonally, but its range has included Thai fish curry and pandan rice; saltimbocca of trout in white-wine sauce; and artichoke mousseline with tarragon sauce and green asparagus. In fine weather, eat under the trees on an outdoor terrace beside the tranquil Leliegracht canal

The Brand Story workshop was delightful and contained confusion; theatre; laughter; illumination; and some pure moments of inspiration. My trip to Amsterdam is justified. Thank you Rich and all of you in the workshop.

Dear AIN Friends -- I'm so bummed I have to fly home in a few hours and miss Open Space and the wonderfully moving final circle (for those of you who are new.... just you wait....it's pretty amazing). I've just re-typed this sentence five times because I can't seem to capture my feelings at 4 AM, so I will just say that I am deeply inspired by this community, and incredibly grateful for it. Thank you to the conference committee for a wonderful, memorable experience.

Open invite to everyone to come see me in Philadelphia, America's birthplace! :-)

Wishing I could hug you all,
Bobbi

AIN External Website

We have created and launched a new website to promote Applied Improvisation to prospective clients - AppliedImprov.com

As you know, we already have a great website for talking to each other: this new site is for us to talk to the world, letting people know the value that AI practitioners can bring to organisations and communities, as trainers, facilitators and inspirers of creativity. It also has a sensational new logo, thanks to our very own Bård Brænde.

Please take a look here, let us know how to improve the site, and recommend it to any potential clients you can think of.  If you’d like to be listed on the site as a Practitioner, then check out the sign-up process on the discussion linked to this email here.
