AIN 2010 was a great experience with special people, and that is what impro is all about. When I look at the discussion groups we all agree about this. That’s great, and the next step is: what can we…Continue

Back in Canada, got my email working again :) and a great story of applying the conference: Adrian Jackson's pre-conf session featured us doing Forum Theatre on a harrassing man on a bus. It was especially powerful for me because I overreacted in the scenario and then saw someone else use conversation and connection to defuse the situation. Two days after the conference, I wake up from a nap on a park bench to a large man sitting down beside me and moving over into me, with his associate standing a yard away. I remembered the workshop and opened conversation. He confessed they were just messing around. We had a friendly chat and they left peaceably. I'm not sure what would have happened if I had overreacted like before. The gifts continue. Thank you all.

Of course, I meant June 16th, 2011. Shorthand :-)

Wow. I think I've finally decompressed from last weekend's "full immersion" experience. The amount of fun 200 improvisers can generate in one room just goes off the scale! I can't begin to tell you how good it feels to know that there is a whole tribe of people out there striving to do the same things as me. Thanks to everyone I spoke to, danced with, sang with, touched, laughed with and at, debated with, learned from, shared with, improvised with, and warmed to. June 11th is already in my diary - see you all then!

A little late perhaps but I just wanted to say I had a great time at the conference. It was amazing! Many thanks to the organization, you did a wonderful job! And many thank to all of you for the inspiration and the good vibes.
And just like Marcoen, I definately gonna use the James Bond warmup!!!

WOW!! I feel so privileged for having had this opportunity to play, laugh and learn along with all of you. Yesterday I had a meeting with a client who want me to solve all of their (many) problems in a single session. And I felt invincible :)

Thank you for creating this wonderful space for sharing, playing and dreaming. Onwards and upwards towards our Improv Utopia...!!

AIN External Website

We have created and launched a new website to promote Applied Improvisation to prospective clients - AppliedImprov.com

As you know, we already have a great website for talking to each other: this new site is for us to talk to the world, letting people know the value that AI practitioners can bring to organisations and communities, as trainers, facilitators and inspirers of creativity. It also has a sensational new logo, thanks to our very own Bård Brænde.

Please take a look here, let us know how to improve the site, and recommend it to any potential clients you can think of.  If you’d like to be listed on the site as a Practitioner, then check out the sign-up process on the discussion linked to this email here.
