The Spread the joy activity is basically this.
Get the groups into teams of 3.
1Person is the big cheese, 1 the Top Banana and the 3rd the Head Honcho.
It starts off with one of them (say the Big Cheese) in charge. They now have 2 minutes to give commands to thier 'staff' of two to go out into the world (room) and 'spread the joy' i.e. "Find someone with nice shoes and tell them how nice their shoes are". the two staff then run off, action their instruction then come back for more. At the end of 2 minutes the whistle blows and then the boss has 30 seconds to get 'whatever they want/need' from their staff. This might include personal praise, or a back rub or whatever comes to mind.
Then a new boss comes in and the whole thing repeats, then the last new boss takes their turn.
I may have some of the timinings off but that is essentially it.
I'm sure if you ask Matt he will be able to give you full details.
Enjoy.
