The Applied Improvisation Network

Spreading the Transforming Power of Improvisation

Jerry suggested we Chicago presenters post some info on our sessions, so here goes:
Effective and dynamic communication, whether it's on stage, from a podium, or one-to-one, is about conveying meaning as much as data. How do you indicate the importance of your information? This workshop focuses on the physical, gestural, and vocal components of communication. Participants will begin by performing improv scenes and monologues that focus on gesture. Later, participants will do improvised or scripted presentations. Participants will receive coaching on their presentations as well as suggestions on how to coach others on physical and vocal components of communication.

Sounds like a great topic and a fun, effective approach Greg --excellent idea. Will you be coaching each person or will you be coaching us to coach each other?

Thanks for your interest, Leif; I'll be coaching performers first and then, later, we'll coach performers as a group. It'll be experiential and not lecture-y. I hope that helps.

By the way, have you had that spot on your nose looked at?
