Comment by Alissa Schwartz on May 14, 2013 at 7:15am Hi Lindsey,
I'd love to talk with you! It sounds like our "stance" is quite similar, as I use the lens of performance, too, to think about and work with what is going on in organizations, my family, and life in general. I'm an independent organizational consultant, with a practice in participatory facilitation and research/evaluation. I have a theater background and use theater/somatics/improv excercises in my work and often use facilitation for the purpose of data collection/analysis. Write me at alissa@solidfireconsulting.com
Looking forward!

Comment by Lindsey Caplan on May 13, 2013 at 8:19pm Hi Saliha,
So nice to hear from you. My name is Lindsey and I'm one of the NYC regional co-chairs. Welcome to the group!
The next NY group meeting will be this summer - an exact date is TBD.
I'd be happy to chat with you about the group and the research going on in the community. Please feel free to email me at lindsey.caplan@gmail.com
Comment by dr bava on May 13, 2013 at 11:50am Hi All!
I just joined the NY group (& AIN). I'm researching play and have been using improv in all facets of my life-as a person, org leader, trainer, coach, teacher, therapist, parent...you name it. I'm thinker/practitioner/actor of performance studies for everyday life & research methods.
I'm curious if there is anyone else who is a researcher here-either studying improv/play or using improv for research/data collection/analysis etc? I would love to get together and learn more about your work!
I am wondering when is the next NY group meeting to play? I look forward to getting to know some/all of you!
Thanks!
Saliha
