Flying out of Sydney on Thai airlines, the hostess gave the emergency instructions in Thai. Her voice was sweet and melodious. Sensing that the passenger next to me was open, I improvised a translation a la Gibberish Lecture. "My dear passengers, if through some lamentable misfortune this aeroplane should precipitously take your sweet bodies plunging to the sea…’ He liked it.
More about you: (Short Bio or any other details you'd like people to know)
I am the founder of the Alliance for Sustainable Wellbeing. Our aim is to catalyse a transition to a viable society.

Improvisations is relevant here, because a viable society will operate on goodwilled ‘partnership/respect’ values. Improv enables people to get past their need for excess control, and discover the power of group self-organisation.

I have written a book, Creative Conversations - Where ideas spark fresh ideas and exciting new insights emerge. It is a manual to teach creative thinking skills used by great innovators. My model was Moshe Feldenkrais, who used to give long improvised discourses using rich associations. I wrote the book because sometimes I found myself in dull conversations with bright people, and I figured the reason people didn't play more with ideas was because they did not know how to.

Hey Andrew,

Tried the phone number you left with my partner, and listed above, but can't seem to get through. Perhaps my service in Vonage doesn't extend that far.

Finding another Andrew Gaines on AIN, as well as other shifts in my life, is leading me to the choice to begin using the nickname of Drew. Most of my life I've relaxed back into Andy, but I recently moved to the Bay Area and am excited to go with this new version. Thanks for the assistance!

I'm around for another 45 mins today (3:45 pm PST) if you'd like to call today. If not, we'll catch each other sometime...

Have a great weekend!

Drew

Hi Andrew and welcome to the network.
What's the easiest way to get your book? I've just finished co-writing a book called Constructive Conversations, so I'm sadly too late to steal all your great ideas, but would like to have a read anyway.
Cheers, Paul Z
