Share a favorite 'improv epiphany'
It's a recurring one (can an epiphany be recurrant???)
Often when I work with groups, we catch the "extra rules" they start adding to the exercises. And I always get this thunderbolt realization of all the extra rules I bring in when I work with groups. Like a play within a play.
More about you: (Short Bio or any other details you'd like people to know)
Started improv with Sue Walden in '93. That class changed my life. (Again, thank you Sue) Started LifePlays in about 2000 with Ann Swanberg. What keeps me doing this is seeing the lightbulbs go off when people "get" it.
I'm also an ex-professional classical guitarist. Music and improv.... Both proof that there's something much bigger than us.
I need help with...
I tend to get stuck doing "improv" and thinking I know more than the group I'm working with. Hah! Thiagi was amazing at helping me with that!
Chris...look at you...you're here. The next time we're together let's take another photo of you....you're much more fun than that photo. Oh and I drove by your new studio in Moss Beach...man that place looks great. Congratulations. Study improv with a view of the Pacific Ocean!!!! Congratulations.

I saw your posting needing help on the 27th. I have to work that day but I'd be happy to help you find someone.
I'd suggest posting on the Chicago Improv Network. http://www.chicagoimprov.org/
Let me know if you need more help!
