Very nice exercise to encourage a group to be more receptive.

This quick exercise is fantastic for helping a group notice the differences between observation and judgment/perception/point of view.

Bergert, the way you lead this exercise captured beautifully the deeper themes of the exercise itself. Your gentleness, sincerity, and openness served as a model for the group and lead us to meaningful place of honesty. Thank you.

Improv is the most fun you can have practicing mindfullness. For me it's much more than a skill. It's a way of living a richer life!
More about you: (Short Bio or any other details you'd like people to know)
From teaching theatre arts to children to training adults wthin organizations, I love the process of aiding people in becoming more effective in their lives. I've been a trainer with Sue Walden's ImprovWorks! for 10 years, in both the public workshops as well as corporate programs, facilitating issues such as creativity, teambuilding, change and stress management. In my work as a life coach, I help people to use their stories to help them stay present through transition and to understand that they are the writer's of their lives. To that end I help people develop their life stories into solo performances.

Living Beyond Your Limits and The Zen of Improv - Workshops Marin Co. CA

Living Beyond Your Limits Saturday, June 27th 9:30am to 4:30pm with Sue Walden of ImprovWorks!

A one-day workshop for people wishing to expand into their natural confidence, intuition & spontaneous creativity. While many things around you are contracting, it's a perfect time for YOU to expand into a larger version of yourself. one with fewer limits and where you are more creative, more courageous, more resourceful, more resilient and way more confident. This workshop is packed with improvisation exercises and various playful activities that, while being great fun, will powerfully support and guide you into realms that you often avoid, either consciously or unconsciously. Be prepared to be excited, challenged and surprised! What Participants Say about this Workshop: "This workshop has had a long-lasting impact on how I think and feel about creativity and life in general. Over the course of the workshop Sue built a framework for understanding the blocks to creative expression that I found to be illuminating and profound. It was also great fun as Sue created a safe space within which we felt free to explore and have adventures." ~ Ellen Pruyne, Learning Consultant, London, UK "Whether you're an actor, improviser, coach or trainer - there is something for everyone in this unique workshop. In addition to it being inspiring and great fun, the lessons you learn will be applicable to the real world the very next day" ~ Sital Ruparelia, Career & Talent Management Expert, London, UK

The Zen of Improv
Thursday Nights on-going beginning July 2nd

7:00 to 9:30

with Christine McHugh of ImprovWorks!

The most fun you'll ever have in the pursuit of being present. This drop-in workshop will use skill building exercises and improvisation games as a mindfulness practice. If you ever wondered why those improv comics can be so flippin' fast and funny it's because they're not thinking about the past or worrying about the future. And onstage, in front of an audience who's expecting to be entertained, being in the present comes close to a life or death proposition for the ego. So take this opportunity out of the limelight to practice what the pros know and find a new way to meditate. Participants have the opportunity to leave very energized with a heightened awareness of living in the moment and how the mind traditionally gets in their way of doing that. Building a community of enlightenend lunatics through this ongoing class is a very real possibility.

$20 per drop-in class. $10 first timer discount. Package discounts available

Both workshops will be held in Central San Rafael, CA; directions provided upon registration. Call Christine at 415-459-6461 to register today
