More about you: (Short Bio or any other details you'd like people to know)
I started my first class of theater in 1999, with Daniel Loisi. During his early years of study, I explored improvisation as a tool for creating stories, and later on to use it in the interpretation of pieces of well known argentinian authors, such as: Tito Cossa, Ricardo Talesnik and others.

It was in 2000 when I joined my first group of improv theater: El Sótano, directed by Loisi. After several months of regular shows, I decided it was time to create my own group, and along side some friends, I founded in 2002 a group called El Attiko.

That same year, El Attiko was invited by the LPI (Profesional League of Improvisation) directed by Ricardo Behrens, to participate in the 5th Match of Improv Amateur Championship, although finnally we couldn't do it for organisational reasons.

The next year I sign in at the International Improv School of the LPI, where I took classes of improv, clown and masks with Ricardo Behrens, Estela Huergo, Vanina Estévez and Horacio Cifuentes. During this year I met my future improv partner, Marcelo Martín.

After one year of training it was time to make my debut as a Match of Improv player in the LPI's 6th Amateur Championship. It was with success, I won the cup with the orange team and was considered one of the best players of the tournament.

Short time after, my promotion to the professional staff was a fact. I participated in the Professional Championships of 2004 and 2005, as captain of the blue team.

My performance in the pro tournaments was the main reason why I was called to be part of the Argentinian national team in the 2nd Match of Improvisation World Cup Buenos Aires 2004 (http://www.lpi.com.ar/); the 1st International Festival of Madrid 2005 (http://www.impromadrid.com/); and the 1st World Cup of Theater Sport Germany 2006, organized by the FIFA with the participation of 16 teams from all over the world (http://www.theatersport-wm.de/).

It was during this international expieriences where I met the best of the bests of world improv, and where the idea of creating Global Impro was born.

I have 6 years of experience in the field of improvisational theater, and I've performed in Argentina (Buenos Aires and Bahía Blanca); Uruguay (Montevideo); Spain (Madrid); and Germany (Berlin, Munich, Nurnberg, Dortmund).

I also had the chance to improvise with groups from different cities in the five contintens: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, United States, Mexico and Peru (America); Germany, Austria, Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, France, Italy, Russia and Sweden (Europe); Morocco and Zimbabwe (Africa); Japan (Asia); New Zealand (Ocenia).

Since 2006 I'm the General Director of Global Impro Argentina. Our main goal is to create a global network of improv groups and share our experiences.

Hello GLOBAL IMPRO!!!
My name is Shawn Kinley. I am with the Loose Moose theatre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I was asked my a few groups on your lovely continent to teach workshops in October and November in Peru, Brazil, Columbia, and Chile. I was just about finished setting up my little tour when I found your group on the internet. It looks great.

I'm not sure if you are interested or not but I will be in your area and was wondering if you might like some info about possibly arranging a workshop there???

In any case, it is very nice to see you out there and I hope we will be able to talk sometime.
Shawn from Canada. impro@improworldtour.com
