I've enjoyed this thread! I'd also add that creativity has to be encouraged as a process and a way of thinking (as and end in itself) *without* attaching specific, measurable outcomes (read: pressures!) to it. That's what gets people hung up with w…

More about you: (Short Bio or any other details you'd like people to know)
Marketing strategist with background in improv (ComedySportz San Jose), sketch, and stand-up. Use all skills to develop creative, fun, humorous content for clients' marketing materials and messaging strategies. I also facilitate workshops on innovation and creativity for clients wanting to create fresh, new customer experiences, products, and services. I spent many years in corporate marketing, so it's great to use applied improv to help companies think about innovation in really different ways. Also fortunate to be using fun and humor in developing social media strategies for clients - a growing area of my marketing business. Teach graduate (MBA) marketing courses, and am founding fellow of SNCR.org, Society for New Communications Research, a think tank focusing on best practices in new media.

About the working mom thing. My seasoned advice is KEEP DOING IMPROV!!! It will keep you sane even when you are exhausted and gives you fascinating friends and delightful humor (Yes, and.....let's see what we can draw in the milk on the floor...!). Plus, you will be giving you kids a great gift by modeling Improv Wisdom.

Absolutely!!! Eva has also recently joined. Looks like all three of us are interested in using improv to facilitate collaboration (Eva with medical teams, me with public dispute resolution). Coffee soon?
