Share a favorite 'improv epiphany'

Just before I was due to lead a rehearsal by my improv troupe, I said to the group's leader: "I don't know how to do this." He replied: "New choice." So I played the game and said: "I need help to do this." Again, he said: "New choice." And I replied: "OK, here's what we're going to do." And I realised that I can play New Choice in any situation in my life to reach a more resourceful state.

I perform with People's Liberation Improv, an English-language improv group in Hong Kong. I'm also a marketing consultant/editor/copywriter, a stand-up comedian, an actor, a singer and a bodyworker/healer. The connecting thread between my three passions (marketing, performing and healing) is storytelling.
