Hi Kim!!! It's great to hear from you!! Loose Moose was fantastic!! Would love to see you in Banff soon. Fingers crossed I can do some projects with you all. Do you know whether there's a template for project proposals?

Best wishes,
Belina

Hi Kim,
I never responded to your note about that workshop we were in where we changed the way we saw people. I didn't realize what an impact that made on me until much later. How huge it was in the moment, and every day. Awesome.
Looking at your note reminded me again. Hope you are well!

Hey Kim - thanks to you and your colleagues for reminding me how powerful Visual Explorer can be. I used your approach (select a compelling image) with a group yesterday - then asked them to talk about something they are passionate about. As you so rightly predicted, this enabled them to tap into a deeper and more authentic conversations than one where they could take a 'safe' option if they knew the topic in advance. Great stuff! Thanks again for your generosity.
Cheers Viv

Biography

Kim is an actor and musician and who is engaged in a life-long exploration of creativity. Clowning, juggling, theatre improv, music and outdoor games are a few of the creative tools he uses to assist his clients with increasing their effectiveness and reaching their potential. The phrase ‘thinking outside the box” needs tools and a practice to make it real and come alive. Kim assist people to feel and know what it is to be “outside the box” and how to transfer this to work and life situations. To think, feel, and do things differently and then achieve different results. This is increasingly important in a world of change and complexity.

Kim is active putting leadership theory into practice as a community leader. He is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Rockies School Division and is a founder and Director of the Banff Community Foundation. Kim was the Executive Director of an early childhood program for 15 years and has a thorough knowledge of human development, which he applies to his work in community and professional development. He has discovered in these endeavours that leadership practice requires an acute attention to process in order to build success and create results.

He has been a faculty member with Leadership Development at the Banff Centre since 1999.
How did you hear about this network?
Colin Funk
New photo is a neat shot of me standing by a larger than life image of me. Banff Centre is doing a big construction project and they put up these large photos, sayings and graphics on screens instead of the usual blank wood screens.

The picture is on a participant in one of our Aboriginal Leadership programs and myself having a laugh at his story about treaty negotiations. He is telling us that he has been negotiating for over 20 years and they are tired of seing him and having him say the same things over and over so one day he said " do you know the TV show star trek?" He continued " Remember the Borg - I like their mantra - resistance is futile"

His story made me laugh and it made for a great picture of a special moment.
