"You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation."
----Plato, a Greek guy from many years ago
More about you: (Short Bio or any other details you'd like people to know)
In 2000 I began taking improv classes at a local theatre in Atlanta. Ten years later I perform weekly shows with a local troupe, and I started a company sharing my passion for the art with the business world. Improv training has changed my life both personally and professionally, and the benefits it continues to afford me are countless. After a decade of working as a Sales Exec in various companies in Atlanta, I began to recognize the similarities between basic improv techniques and those needed to be successful in most business environments. The basics of improv: trust, open communication, working together, no judgment and the ability to think fast are the same elements needed to be successful in business.
To sum it up, improv for business is catching on, and there are many cities well into the trend, and I am thrilled to offer my passion to Atlanta.
"We discovered that not only does improvisation provide a way to understand what it takes to be spontaneous and innovative, but exercises used by actors to develop their skill can be adopted by business as a means to experience and enhance individual and organizational capacity to be innovative and responsive."
---Mary Crosson, Improvise to Innovate at ImprovInBiz.
