Hey, folks. I've been thinking for a while that some kind of certification structure would help our field. I actually wanted a certification for instructors who teach improvisation for the theater, since anyone can call themselves an improv teacher…

Thinking about Social Media - Matt 2.0?

I am currently up late thinking about how to enter the world of social media. Besides an anemic myspace page, and a bio on my theaters site, I am off the grid. Not wanting to be left behind, I am pondering facebook, linkedin, twitter, etc.etc. (Curses to Leif Hansen for ever opening my eyes to the wretched stuff!)

My interest in taking this step is to market myself as a workplace learning professional with a specialty of applied improvisation. However, these sites don't seem to differentiate be… Continue

Dear Matt,

How are you? Just a quick note from the Netherlands. (I'm afraid you don't know me...yet) ;-)

This October, I’m visiting Chicago for the AIN Conference, really looking forward to that!
Now, I’ll arrive already a couple of days days earlier and I’m looking for a way to make myself useful over there.
Would you know any impro groups or companies who would be interested in doing a workshop with me? I have 14+ years experience with playing Improv and 9+ years of teaching Improv, all sorts including musical and applied (in communicative skills) improv. Also, I’m a professional Communication Skills trainer.

Hope you don't mind me asking!

Best regards, thanks for your attention,
Raymond van Driel
