It's official! We're making an improv movie here in Cincinnati! Joe Boyd (who is a member on here -- you should get to know him) wrote a movie back when he lived in LA. At one point a studio was signed on, and Drew Carey was set to star and direct.…

Missy -- thank you so much for acknowledging my birthday! What a sweet surprise.

I still think about some of the info you covered in your session... I wish you could transport your molecules then reassemble them to the Japan conference on "Bridging Differences" -- it's an easily overlooked, yet significant difference.

Thanks again -- on both fronts!

That is an awesome gaggle of improvisational talent. Small World. I performed this weekend - what a blast. The big crowds are so full of love. Love it! I hope you are finding opportunities to improvise. It's a skill that's too valuable to let get rusty.

Hi Missy! I perform at SAK now. I've studied with Ryan Smith, James Newport, Jay Hopkins, John Hunter, Richard Paul and Lyle Moon. I am an ensemble host and a member of two troupes - Gen S (SAK) and Absent Minded Improv. It is a Blast!! Love it. And you?

Lisa Klein (a new member) and I taught a class for the Women's Cancer Center in Oakland a year or so ago. It was really profound to see the improv stories that the women created. I really see that improv really is a quality of life issue and that the exercises, besides being fun in the midst of chaos, can bring people together and help us see what is the most important thing about being a human being. We should start a discussion group.

Hey Missy,

Great chatting with you and the others yesterday.

I love networking too. I have spent a little time in the music business pitching songs (I'm a songwriter).

My experience is that people you're approaching don't want to be hustled. Like you said they're human beings and prefer a little genuine human contact. My observation is that many people focus only on the outcome of their contact, not the relationship.

I've often thought of developing a workshop on networking. Perhaps this will be the spark!

Thanks for invite & brainstorming.

Jamie
