When taking improv at Players Workshop, I was brought into a scene I didn't want to do. For some reason, I just wasn't in the mood that night. I decided I could get through the scene without actively trying to "be" in the scene (in other words, wihtout trying to be "funny"). In doing so, I was able to really listen to what was playing out between the various characters. By the time I was brought into the scene I felt it so deeply, I just went along with my gut instincts. It became my most triumphant moment on stage...and, actually, my funniest.
