SImo, I watched it all - having waited so long - and it's both a great reminder of the fab Helsinki event and also a terrific introduction to what the AIN is all about. Yes, let's get it onto this site in a more obvious and prominent way....
Hey Simo,
I just watched a good portion of the Helsinki video, its excellent (though a bit small ;) Is there any reason you haven't uploaded it to the site (maybe you tried, asked me, and I neglected your request? ;)
You mentioned in passing lasting week how the Lutheran Church in Finland could be assisted by improv and improv spirituality. I'm a Lutheran pastor in the U.S. If you know of any connections with the Lutheran church in Finland, let me know. I'd be happy to make that connection between Applied Improv and the Lutherans there.
Thanks for your note. It was great fun meeting you and seeing you in action yesterday. Hope to be in touch with through this network and outside this netword.
Perfect timing I am teachig my second class tonight! Thanks for the feedback. I will be positive in my class and praise to ensure they feel safe. My backgroung n Improv is varied. Itrained for 3 years at draa school and have taken Improv classes at the actors centre in London and I have also worked in Improv at the Ediburgh Festival. I thought it would be asy but knowing when thegame has ended is hard for my I seem to use the clock as the class is only 1.5 hours long. Anyway will let you know how this week goes and look for Keiths book. Have a great ay and thanks again.
Hi Simo, thanks for your warm welcome. I have worked with Karl Erik Sveiby who is at the Swedisch Business School in Hanken. Nice to hear something from Finland.
Who knows. Mostly exploring for the moment. Look forward to meeting someday! Cheers, Sergej
Hi Simo, Thank you for th invite it is exactly hat I need right now!
I left drama school in 1994 and had a reasonable careerin London. I moved to Brisbane 3 years ago and hav just begun teaching. I was offered an improv class at a small drama school and took my second lass next Monday. It is much harder than I realised. I dont know if I have given you enough information but can you offer any guidence. I feel I am lacking an over veiw. I want to enable the students to free themselves, to be in themselves as opposed to in their heads. Most of them struggled and it seemed they wanted to please me or get a laugh rather than just "be". More to the point I struggled with knowing when to end the Improv and to be honest in my feedback without makig them more defensive. If you respond I fear this will be an ongoing debate and I will be back for more as I am developing a thirst for this knowlege. Thanks again for the offer and I look forward to your thoughts . Please ignore any spelling errors; without spell check I am
lost. Gareth :-)
Helou Simo,
hauskaa, kun laitoit viestiä! Joo Trondheimissa olin ja hauskaa ja hyödyllistäkin siellä oli; mukava jutella ihmisten kanssa, jotka intoutuu samoista asioista kuin itse :-)

I love physical pieces. Body senses things better than mind.
Anyway, thank you for the comment!!
