Alan, thanks!
I'm going to try to get there. How do I privately get a hold of the big-wigs that are running the conference? May need to do things last minute.
I LOVE this group.
As well as the ones posted here I got responses from close to a dozen people and there must have been over a hundred ideas in total.
Some of them made me laugh out loud (I got a very strange look from my co-workers!)
I am SO Looking forward to recharging my creative batteries in Portland.
Thanks Folks
Now I see Zach's contributions I wish I had posted them here to get a jam going. If you didn't receive a response from me...oops. I'll have to start again. ~kd
I would like to prmote Chicago as a site for the National Association of Drama Therapy for their conference. I would love to meet with you and pick your brain regarding your experience setting up a conference here for the Applied Improv Network.
Yes we met briefly at the reception. You may want to check out a new online class we are teaching "From ADDIE to Improv" it is designed to teach instructional designers and trainers an alternative way to design and delivery training programs based upon some of what I learned from Thiagi and various techniques that improv professionals use. From ADDIE to Improv
I am doing my psychodrama here with my clients from 1 - 6 p.m., so I will have to decline your offer. Please keep me posted.

Hi Alan,
Not sure yet if I can make it ... I just found out about this organization today. I may be able to shift some things around but we will see!

Thank you Alan!
I would love to go to the conference, but we already have plans and I can't make it. But a teammate of mine is going, so she'll fill me in. Maybe next year I can go!
I've requested your digital friendship---wanted to send an email. Know quite a few of the inside tricks on negotiating your deal with the hotels, as I was granted a pardon from working in hospitality after many years as an indentured servant.
Let me know about any hotel help I can do for you!

Hi Alan! Have you ever been to the Uncle Fun store in Chicago? http://www.unclefunchicago.com
I have a connection with the guy who started it and it strikes me that: 1) he might make a great speaker for AIN Chicago, and 2) the store might be a great field trip. What do you think?

Hey Alan,
I guess I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking for ways to get started in the Applied Improv Field. I, on the other hand have a ton of artistic experience and am trying to build my biz experience. I would love to grab a beer or a coffee and meet up with you some time. I am very new to this thing. Right now, I am trying to put a package together for physicians at Northwestern and some workshops for our Employee Engangement Comittee. Would you like to offer some of your experience and expertise to these projects?
