YES I was in Portland with Lizzie et al...AND we had a most marvelous conference AND YES it's been too long. So let me know when your travels bring you close to these islands AND, YES we can try to meet up.
I am in San Diego for now, but am plannng on moving to Portland in the near future. We shut down San Diego TheatreSports, we had opened our own theatre (for 3 years) then that shut down, and at the end we just didn't have enought people to do all the work and no one wanted to take it over. I have started my own company and our first shows are next week, but I hope to focus more on corporate work. Your classes were still to this day some of my favorite improv classes.
hey Shawn! NIce meeting you last weekend. I heard you got away with the Euroline in time. I had the pleasure of being stuck in the snow with Belina and I've sent London transport some flowers for that. ;-)

Hello Shawn
I thought it would be interesting for you to see some vedio clips from my group. I believe language will not be a problem for you! If you do check them out, please do let me know what you think.... thanks!
Hi David, Thanks. It was a fun group to work with. Too short amount of time. And it was great sitting in on Keith's class the other night. It made me very jealous of the 10 days you've all had with him.
Thanks also for the book reccomendation. I haven't read anything by him.
Have a great last day in the course! I hope our paths will cross again.
Shawn
PS - yep chcked the cheque.... Keith has me in his book (impro for storytellers and spelled my name wrong. Now, of course people say, "that's not you!" so my marginal claim to fame is blemished (boo hoo... ha ha) and I had to see if he got it right this time... YEE HA, he did!...
Shawn,
Thanks for your generous and thoughtful reply. It all makes sense to me. I don't have enough experience to apply what I know about learning styles very much. I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see how you use the info you harvest from "Updown". Not so much learning styles but I do tend to intuit a lot of personal patterns info from my students and then often struggle to know what to do with it (especially when all they've signed up for is an improv class!). Still I'm sure it will serve me well if I expand into consultancy.
Thanks again. Your work sounds fascinating.
Toby
Hi Shawn,
I saw something in the Loose Moose thread about your "simon says game that teaches learning styles". So curious was I that I've just spent the last half hour exploring your website. I have many a thought about thoughts and about learning styles and bad training and such. Perhaps if I am lucky this is enough to have that simon says game explained. Perhaps?
