Hello Martin... I'm heading over to Europe early March and will be based in the Netherlands for the seven months before coming to the conference in Berlin.  I want to offer the Introduction to Applied Improv session for the conference, perhaps as a pre-con for new comers/new-to-the-field folks.  We can set up a Skype call to talk more about this if you like.

Noticed my name on some flip charts in the slide show.  Sweet!

Hello, Martin! Great to be connected with you here. Thank you for your enthusiasm and generous comments about my new book and the TEDx video. I hope to meet you soon, too. The next AIN conf is looking "iffy" due to teaching commitments . . and I will stay open to possibilities. Yes, and . . . !

Hello, fellow improviser and AIN member,

I’m Patricia Ryan Madson, improvwisdom@comcast.net and I wrote the book Improv Wisdom: Don’t Prepare, Just Show Up, Bell Tower Books, 2005 (available on Amazon.com). A wonderful thing is happening. The book is being translated into German and will be published this fall by Lektorat VAK (editor) Nadine Weber, Sophienstr. 107, 76135 Karlsruhe, E-Mail: weber@vakverlag.de I believe that it will be of interest to the whole improv community in Europe.

In the back of the English edition I have links and addresses of groups teaching improv, groups or organizations that offer improv instruction or consulting, etc.in the USA. The German editor wants to add resources in Germany, Switzerland and Austria that would be of interest to their German/ European readers. The idea is to help people find improv classes or resources in your part of the world.

I’m sadly unaware of these resources over there. But I thought I would call on my AIN friends to help track down urls or web sites or locations for resources in this part of the world. If any of you knows names and addresses of organizations teaching improv or offering consulting work to businesses, please send them to me/and or to Ms. Nadine Weber who is compiling the list to be published in the back of the book.

I am grateful to AIN for being a world network of improvisers. And I thank you in advance for any help you can send me.
Warm thanks,
Patricia Ryan Madson, El Granada, CA www.improvwisdom.com

AIN External Website

We have created and launched a new website to promote Applied Improvisation to prospective clients - AppliedImprov.com

As you know, we already have a great website for talking to each other: this new site is for us to talk to the world, letting people know the value that AI practitioners can bring to organisations and communities, as trainers, facilitators and inspirers of creativity. It also has a sensational new logo, thanks to our very own Bård Brænde.

Please take a look here, let us know how to improve the site, and recommend it to any potential clients you can think of.  If you’d like to be listed on the site as a Practitioner, then check out the sign-up process on the discussion linked to this email here.
